AC Vaccine Technology

The AC Vaccine technology is a therapeutic treatment of cancer that uses the persons own (autologous) cancer cells to treat the patient. The AC Vaccine technology is based upon the concept of haptenization, a scientific principle that was first published by Dr. Karl Landsteiner in the early 20th century.

Haptenization is the chemical modification of antigens on the cancer cell. Prior to haptenization neither the chemical nor the antigens are recognized by the immune system. Haptenization connects the two and the combination allows for the development of an immune response in the patient. Ideally, haptenization results in immune recognition of both the modified tumor cells and the unmodified tumor cells which would be those metastasizing throughout the patients body.

In previously peer reviewed papers this immune responsiveness to unmodified tumor cells was demonstrated through the development of a delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) response to these cells.
